A backyard spa with a view of the Olympics, this unique project included the design and construction of an outdoor shower, sauna with a green roof, and hot tub area for relaxation and restoration. Highlighting the patina of recycled materials, this outdoor oasis is a restorative refuge from the sometimes dreary Seattle days.

With two young children and an active lifestyle, the landscape design for this family provides a diverse progression of spaces including a shade garden, veggie garden and patio on a challenging site. We enclosed an exposed garage roof deck with raised planters and trellises and retained a once-sloping back yard with a discreet wall. An elegantly matched fence, arbor and gates were then added to provide safety and sanctuary.
